Purpose:
As a Warehouse Associate in a food manufacturing environment, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and organized flow of materials, ingredients, and finished products within the warehouse.
Your responsibilities will include handling incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and collaborating with various teams to support the overall production process.
The ideal candidate should possess strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced and regulated environment.
Key
Responsibilities:
Material Handling:
Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials and ingredients.
Safely store and organize raw materials, packaging supplies, and finished products.
Use forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move and transport materials within the warehouse.
Inventory Management:
Maintain accurate inventory records using computerized systems.
Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile any discrepancies.
Monitor product shelf life and FIFO (First In, First Out) principles.
Order Fulfillment:
Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently.
Prepare shipments for outgoing delivery, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
Quality Control:
Inspect materials and products for quality and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.
Follow food safety and hygiene protocols to ensure the integrity of the products.
Communication and Collaboration:
Communicate effectively with production, quality control, and logistics teams to meet production schedules and customer demands.
Collaborate with team members to streamline warehouse processes and improve overall efficiency.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, including the proper handling of hazardous materials.
Participate in regular safety meetings and training sessions.
Cleanliness and Organization:
Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
Follow sanitation protocols to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
Problem Solving:
Identify and address any issues related to inventory discrepancies, product damage, or operational inefficiencies.
Propose and implement solutions to improve warehouse processes.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a warehouse environment, preferably in food manufacturing.
Forklift certification and experience operating material handling equipment.
Knowledge of inventory management systems and basic computer skills.
Understanding of food safety and quality control standards.
Ability to lift and move heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in a refrigerated environment.
