Seeking Residential Counselors for **New Adolescent Program**

Dallas, NC Dallas, NC Part-time Full-time Part-time Full-time $16 - $18 an hour $16 - $18 an hour We are currently seeking Residential Counselors in North Carolina for a brand new, transitional residential program for adolescents.
You will be maintaining the day-to-day operations for adolescents (12-21 years of age) residing in a group home setting.
This position will be dedicated to helping adolescents who have been bouncing from placement to placement and are in desperate need of stability and hope.
This is a 24/7 level of care.

Competitive hourly pay - $16-18 per hour plus advancement opportunities Overtime opportunities Excellent medical, dental, and vision insurance 401K Robust Paid time off policy Excellent training- paid New Hire Orientation In this role as Residential Counselor, you will assist residents with their day-to-day activities, monitor their behavior, record and collect data on their progress, and build a strong therapeutic relationship that helps promote their growth and development.
To be successful in this role, you will display a compassionate nature, empathy, and discretion in your work.
You should have excellent communication and time management skills and be able to develop and maintain relationships with clients, supervisors, and colleagues.
Prior experience in a behavioral health setting is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities include:
Ensure the safety of all residents under their care by learning and implementing only those medical and life saving policies and procedures approved by New Hope Treatment Centers (NHTC).
Counsel and advise individuals or groups Participate in staff growth and development training activities Establish treatment goals and milestones with clients Maintain an awareness of the whereabouts of all residents under their care by providing constant supervision, regular rounds, and resident counts throughout their shift.
Assist in the coordination of therapeutic activities, and oversees the completion of regular activities including, but not limited to, hygiene, chores, journaling, homework, or clinical assignments.
Qualifications include:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Bachelor or Associate Degree in a behavioral health, Early Childhood Education, Psychology, Special Education, or related field preferred.
You must be at least 21 years old Two (2) years of experience in a behavioral health environment preferred:
