Job Description Summary The HR Generalist provides professional expertise and support in all areas of HR with a specialized focus on Recruiting and Employee Leave.
This position will manage the HRIS systems, maintain employee files, source and recruit candidates, lead employee orientations, administer employee leave (i.
e.
FMLA, ADA), benefits administration, ATS power user and will have full ownership of planning and creating company events.
The HR Generalist will also work on special projects in coordination with the corporate office and plant locations as assigned.
Essential Functions Ability to analyze information and convert related activities into a comprehensive work plan Ability to communicate and make recommendations to upper management Ability to identify basic problems and procedural irregularities, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions Ability to multi-task and drive multiple projects Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities Ability to deal with confidential information Demonstrated problem solving, time management and priority setting skills Tasks and Responsibilities Owns full cycle recruiting process.
Including but not limited to:
Consults with department managers and supervisors to assess recruiting needs Sources and recruits new employees including partnering with external recruiters when deemed appropriate Coordinates interviews Maintains reporting standards and compliance for EEO-1 and Vets-100 reports Runs adhoc reporting as required Partners with the culture team to support company culture and initiatives Coordinates and leads all new hire orientations acting as the first point of contact for new employees Processes and administers all leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork Administers leaves of absence including FMLA, STD, and LTD according to policy and federal/state regulations Initiates and engages in interactive conversations as needed Initiates and manages all correspondence with employees with leave of absences Manages the Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) to ensure accurate record keeping Manages and maintains all HR files to ensure accurate record keeping Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned Hans Kissle will provide reasonable accommodations to allow an employee to perform the essential functions of the job.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience Minimum degree and
Experience:
High School Diploma and/or equivalent experience required Bachelor's degree preferred A minimum of 2 years of HR experience preferred Food manufacturing experience, preferred Specific competencies required:
Strong written and oral English language skills.
Fluency in Spanish language a plus Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software Computer skills (MS Office, e-mail) ATS and HRIS experience a plus Presentation skills Project Management skills People management experience preferred Best in class customer service skills Strong presentation skills Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods Ability to evaluate, research, design and implement effective training and development programs Additional Information Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and sit.
The employee is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop or kneel, crouch or crawl; taste or smell.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

The employee works in a causal office environment located at a manufacturing facility.
When the employee is within the plant, personal protective equipment is required to be worn.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
